What Is the AMILI Optimise Plus Metabolic Health Programme?

AMILI Optimise Plus is an 8-week metabolic health programme that combines gut microbiome testing, continuous glucose monitoring, targeted probiotics, and one-to-one coaching to support sustainable metabolic change.

At ATA Medical, we deliver this programme in Singapore in partnership with AMILI, a precision gut microbiome company focused on Asian populations. Rather than prescribing a generic diet, the programme uses your personal biological data to build a plan around how your body actually responds to food, activity, and sleep.

You receive a gut microbiome report, real-time glucose readings from a wearable sensor, and structured guidance from a certified coach. Together, these inputs show you which foods and habits support your metabolism and which are working against it.

How Your Gut Microbiome Influences Metabolic Health

Your gut microbiome plays a direct role in regulating appetite, blood sugar, fat storage, and cholesterol. The 38 trillion microbes living in your digestive tract act as a metabolic command centre, producing hormones and metabolites (chemical byproducts of microbial activity) that shape how your body handles food.

  • Appetite regulation – Gut bacteria produce GLP-1 and PYY, hormones that signal hunger and fullness to the brain. A disrupted microbiome can blunt these signals and drive persistent cravings.
  • Blood glucose control – The balance of bacteria in your gut can influence how much sugar your liver releases into the bloodstream and how well your body responds to insulin, helping stabilise post-meal blood sugar.
  • Fat storage patterns – Microbial imbalance is associated with low-grade inflammation in fat cells and a shift toward visceral fat accumulation around the abdomen.
  • Lipid profile – Gut microbes influence how your body processes dietary fats and regulates cholesterol.

When these systems drift out of balance, the result is often weight gain, afternoon energy crashes, rising cholesterol, and early signs of insulin resistance. This is the same cluster of risk factors behind rising rates of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity across Asia.

Who the AMILI Optimise Plus Is Suitable For

The programme suits adults who want to address weight, blood sugar, or cholesterol concerns through sustainable lifestyle change rather than restrictive dieting. It is designed for people whose health markers are drifting in the wrong direction but who have struggled to correct them through willpower alone.

You may benefit from AMILI Optimise Plus if you:

  1. Have borderline or elevated blood sugar, HbA1c, or fasting insulin readings
  2. Carry excess weight or a high body fat percentage that has been difficult to shift
  3. Are managing high cholesterol, particularly raised LDL or triglycerides
  4. Experience persistent hunger, cravings, or energy crashes through the day
  5. Have a family history of type 2 diabetes or cardiovascular disease
  6. Want a data-led alternative to traditional calorie counting

The programme is not intended for people with active eating disorders, severe gastrointestinal disease, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will assess your suitability before starting the programme if you have any existing medical conditions.

What Is Included in AMILI Optimise Plus

Every participant receives five integrated components designed to work together over eight weeks. Each component feeds data into the next, so your plan keeps adapting as the programme unfolds.

  1. Gut microbiome test – A stool-based gut microbiome test analyses your microbial diversity and identifies bacterial patterns linked to metabolic, digestive, and mental health.
  2. Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) – A wearable sensor tracks your blood glucose in real time, revealing how specific meals and habits affect your readings.
  3. Targeted probiotic supplement – A probiotic formulation selected based on the gaps and imbalances identified in your gut report.
  4. Three video consultations with a certified coach – Structured sessions to review your data, set goals, and refine your plan.
  5. Continuous chat support – Daily message-based coaching through the AMILI Optimise app for food logging, questions, and accountability.

The 8-Week Programme Journey

Weeks 1 – 3

Onboarding & Baseline Data

You attend an introductory video consultation, submit a stool sample for microbiome analysis, and upload any recent health reports for review.

Week 4

Personalised Plan

Once your gut health report is ready, your coach reviews it alongside your eating patterns and sets goals with you in a second video consultation. You apply the CGM sensor, sync it with the AMILI Optimise app, begin logging your meals, and receive your targeted probiotic selected based on your gut report.

Week 5

Applied Monitoring

You eat according to your coach's recommendations while the CGM tracks how your body responds. Your meal plan is refined based on the first week of real-world data.

Weeks 6 – 8

Habit Consolidation & Review

You continue logging meals and receive daily message-based nudges from your coach. The programme closes with a third video consultation covering your progress report and post-programme recommendations.

What Results Has the AMILI Optimise Plus Shown?

The programme aims to produce measurable changes in weight, body composition, and metabolic markers while building habits you can carry forward. Because the plan is matched to your biology, participants tend to find it easier to sustain than restrictive diets.

Commonly reported outcomes may include:

  • Sustainable weight change – Informed by your microbiome and glucose data rather than calorie restriction
  • Appetite rebalancing – Gut-driven hormonal signals may rebalance and curb cravings
  • Improved fat metabolism – A potential shift away from visceral fat storage
  • Healthier cholesterol readings – Supported by changes in gut bacteria that support healthier cholesterol levels
  • Steadier blood glucose – Fewer post-meal spikes and afternoon crashes

In AMILI's REMEDY study, all participants reported improved bowel form and regularity, and around 40 per cent experienced up to 3 kg of weight loss. Individual results vary based on starting point, adherence, and underlying health.

How AMILI Optimise Plus Works Alongside GLP-1 Medications

The metabolic health programme can also complement GLP-1 weight loss medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide. A healthier gut microbiome may reduce common gastrointestinal effects of GLP-1 therapy, including nausea, bloating, and constipation, by supporting healthy digestion and gut lining function.

Microbiome-led nutrition may also help sustain the medication's benefits over time. Research suggests that a diverse gut microbiome may support the body's own GLP-1 production and promote more consistent weight management during and after treatment. This may make AMILI Optimise Plus a useful complement for patients already on GLP-1 therapy or planning to start.

Your doctor will assess your suitability before combining the programme with any GLP-1 medication.

"A programme built around your own microbiome and glucose data gives patients something generic diet advice cannot. By addressing metabolism at the biological level, the changes tend to last well beyond the eight weeks."

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

AMILI Optimise Plus is an 8-week metabolic health programme that combines gut microbiome testing, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), targeted probiotics, and one-to-one coaching. At ATA Medical, we partner with AMILI to deliver the programme in Singapore, using your personal biological data to build a nutrition and lifestyle plan tailored to how your body responds to food, activity, and sleep. The all-inclusive pilot price is $400 before the programme transitions to its standard rate of $750 in Q3 2026.
The AMILI Optimise Plus programme is designed for adults who want to address weight, blood sugar, or cholesterol concerns through data-led lifestyle change. It may suit people whose blood test results are trending in the wrong direction, who experience persistent cravings or energy crashes, or who have a family history of type 2 diabetes or heart disease. It is not intended for those with active eating disorders, severe gastrointestinal disease, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will assess your suitability beforehand.
A CGM sensor is applied during week four and tracks your blood glucose in real time as you follow your coach's recommendations. It reveals how specific meals, habits, and timing affect your readings, allowing your coach to refine your plan based on how your body actually responds rather than general dietary guidelines.
Yes, the programme can complement GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide. Research suggests that a diverse gut microbiome may support the body's own GLP-1 production and help sustain the medication's benefits over time. Your doctor will assess your suitability before combining the programme with any GLP-1 therapy.
No, the programme does not require a restrictive diet. Instead, it uses data from your gut microbiome test and CGM readings to identify which foods and habits work well for your metabolism. Your coach then helps you make targeted adjustments based on your biology, rather than applying blanket calorie limits or eliminating entire food groups.
Weight loss varies by individual and depends on your starting point, adherence, and underlying health. In AMILI's REMEDY study, around 40 per cent of participants experienced up to 3 kg of weight loss. The programme focuses on sustainable, biology-informed change rather than rapid weight reduction, so outcomes may also include improved body composition, steadier energy, and healthier metabolic markers.
A standard dietitian consultation typically relies on general dietary guidelines and food diaries. AMILI Optimise Plus adds objective biological data, including a gut microbiome report and real-time glucose readings, to personalise recommendations at a level that conventional consultations generally do not offer. Your plan is continuously refined over eight weeks based on how your body responds, rather than following a fixed set of dietary rules.
